Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

See, the avatar goes with the signature? It's like a matched set?

The only reason I voted for Florida to win was because if they do, that means I win the local pool, which turned out to be a sizeable amount.

Well, that's understandable, then.

I'm encouraged to see that so many of you feel as I do, that a decent earthquake or a good set of clippers would do us all a favor.

All indicators are that Florida will run away with it, but I guess I'm grudgingly hoping for Ohio State in a lesser-of-two-evils kind of thing.

Ohio State is not the lesser of two evils. It's the evilest of all evils.
