Default Cooking Brazilian food

The Brazilian girl I'm dating is a great gal.

I'd love to surprise her and cook some Brazilian food.

A couple of problems however:

1. - I don't know what constitutes "Brazilian food" except for what I've had at places like Tucano's, Rodizio's...etc..etc..

2. - Has anyone here ever cooked something Brazilian and if so what did you cook and what would be good?

Is chimichurri sauce Brazilian? I love that stuff, and it's easy to make.

Nevermind, I looked it up, it's Argentinian.

I'm sure someone on here is an RM from Brazil.

Ok, I got curious and looked it up. This seafood stew, called Moqueca sounds really good. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/re...s/views/100966

I've only eaten Brazilian BBQ. Make her 10 pounds of various BBQ'd meats. That should impress her.

And buy a Brazilian soccer jersey. That sends the message that you are willing to spend $30 for a 5 second laugh from her.

I like the soccer jersey idea. There are some good websites with recipes. Order some Guarana soda over the internet and that will seal the deal!

I went out with a Brazilian girl three times. She always wanted Italian food.

Hope this helps.

You can get Guarana in many grocery stores in SLC (I think that is where you live?)
