But to each his/her own.
I think there's absolutely a way to know it's God. And that, in and of itself, demonstrates his level of care for His children.

It's just tougher to find God whilst immersed in ancient Greek texts.

Default Alas I must go

I'm off to a campout with a whole bunch of other ethically immature, narcissistic types.

But this thread went about the way I expected it to.

I find your attitude one of the saddest things in the world. Seriously. But the possibility of clearing up such darkness and confusion and ignorance in even one brain is one of the things that excites me every day.

I'm not ridiculing anyone. Maybe I should have said "completely inconceivable." People sense, or think they sense god in their own ways. But, as I see it, we quantify, classify, describe, and characterize god according to our ethics and values, not according to god's.

But, again, I don't want to antagonize. Religion should be personal. As a wise frenchie once told me, A chacun sa merde.

For this group, it might be better phrased (and more politely): "A chacun son petit nombrit."

The oldest version of the Old Testament, and the New Testament, as well as most early Christian writings are ancient greek texts.

I'm glad it's so easy to find god while crunching numbers. Maybe you're on to something. God seems to be a bit of a gambler.

That is too literal. It means "Leave everybody to their own shit" or maybe "everybody makes their own shit" or somethign like that.

It's an idiom. It means "to each his/her own."
