Utah in tourney?

Lunardi seems to think so. He must be watching tapes from some other year's Ute team, because this Ute team is going nowhere. |

He also doesn't throw a fit on TV if the committee doesn't agree with him like Lunardi has been known to do. A few years ago the committee added a home/road adjustment to the way the rpi is calculated and the result for the most part helped non-major (BCS) teams. Certain teams got into the tournament that wouldn't have in previous years because their rpi was better under the new formula. So from Monday to Wednesday there was mass outrage on ESPN that teams like George Mason got in. Lunardi pretty much led the charge. It turned out that George Mason got all the way to the Final Four and most of those "questionable" non-major teams did well, proving the committee right. BCS conference homers like Lunardi were proven wrong. Last edited by BlueK; 12-26-2008 at 06:29 PM. |
