I disagree. The report was conducted as thoroughly as it could be under the restrictions that were imposed (for example, not being allowed to speak with the current players). Remember that it was BECAUSE the report was released that players such as Pettite were prompted to come forward and admit to involvement publicly and provide additional evidence that was not available before. This was information that Mitchell could nto have but essentially caused to be produced.

The difference is Mcnamee's inconsistencies are not central to Clemens use of steroids and Clemens are. Also is seems like the nanny remembers having Clemens there. Hmmm.

True.

The nanny stuff is not looking too good. Waxman, who I think is normally quite a yahoo, is right that it does raise an issue of impropriety. The timing is really suspect. Of course, Clemens was doing the committee a favor. WHat a crock of crap.

I'm really going to enjoy hearing Clemens explain his blood and steriod residue on syringes.

It would be nice if Canseco went to jail as a result of this hearing.

The nanny claims the Clemens were there at the Canseco's and even spent the night.

Roger Cossack is a jackass. I don't know why he has a job.

He is ripping McNamee and saying Clemens is doing brilliantly, and is suggesting that perhaps McNamee goes to jail for perjury.

I'm surprised by Cossak's reaction as well. McNamee is an admitted perjurer. This is true. Clemens is making his own problems, however, and the sports guys are doing a better job than COssack of pointing out how.

There is a reason Cossack is on a sports channel and not on a news channel.

The most damning thing is Clemen's friend Pettit, saying tha Clemens said he used HGH, and that he told his wife. And then taked about years later, and then also told his wife again.

Meaning, I think, that Pettit is willing to have his wife testify to that effect.

Now Clemens is saying that maybe his family *was* at the Canseco party, maybe he dropped them off there.
