The drag coefficient may have impeded him, admittedly.

The other funny thing about Spitz....didnt he suck at the Games prior to Munich? The 68 Mexico City games?

Phelps did pretty well in Athens, only to dominate in China.

The more I think about it, the more of a joke Spitz is. He needs to be grateful that anyone would mention him at all in the future, let alone in the same breath at Phelps.

1995 Utah 3-A Football Salt Lake Tribune All-State Honorable Mention
1991 Elks Lodge Free-Throw Contest - 3rd Place

There's more, but I don't want to brag too much.

I googled "yohio" and found no mention of these accomplishments.

In fact, I found no mention of "yohio" on the internet at all.

I am soooo sick and tired of olympic swimming and Michael Phelps, that I'm going to:

-watch the events
-watch the interviews
-take additional time complaining about them on the internet

UteStar is in collusion with google to keep my glory unseen by the public. Just another reason he is my enemy. BTW, I love the new avatar. YOhio looks good on you.

I thought the same thing! I thought, "my goodness how unprofessional is that. Even Musberger wouldn't say something that stupid." And you've gotta think that Spitz is somewhere watching this.

Somebody told me it's because Spitz was such an arrogant ass that he'd pissed off pretty much everybody in the sporting world.

I am nto tired of Phelps. I was a kid when SPitz won his medals and I made my mom go out and buy me a red white and blue speedo just like his. It was not a good look on a pudgy kid but Spitz was the man and all the boys wanted to be like him and all the girls wanted to be with him. That being said, I think SPitz was sort of a jerk with how he dealt with Phelps in the lead up to the Olympics. He was jealous.

I don't know what swimming is like where you guys are but here it is enormously competitive. (Natalie Coughlin swam at the public pool down the street.) Many excellent athletes here go into swimming. ALl the complaining about him sounds like whiny jealousy to me. He is a magnificent athlete and has achieved that which no one esle has ever done.

Good for Michael Phelps.

Poor me. I waddled out to the pool in junior high in that thing and thought I was lookign good. My mother only encouraged the perception. I was quickly disabused of the notion by the other guys in the pool, I assure you.

Besides basketball, I'd like to know which Olympic sports you think have significantly bigger pools of people. Thanks in advance.
