I didn't even know he was still playing.

I was afraid to make that admission, not watching baseball. But for some reason I had believed he retired. Of course I can't name five players still playing except Bonds, unless they resurrected Roger Maris.

A very interesting read and please note Griffey's response to Bonds' revelation:

"If I can't do it myself, then I'm not going to do it," Griffey says. "When I'm retired, I want them to at least be able to say, 'There's no question in our minds that he did it the right way.' I have kids. I don't want them to think their dad's a cheater."

too bad griffey denies the conversation ever happened.

If Griffey is protecting cheaters, then he is a cheater in my book.

That picture of bonds in '98 says it all. Look how svelte he looks! I'd say that the mcgwire, sosa homer off was what pushed him into steroids.

Only those who don't know baseball will not remember much about him. Baseball fans will remember him as a terrific player who joined the very exclusive 600 home run club in the '07 season (assuming he'll hit a dozen or so by the end of this season).

He's a shoe in for the Hall of Fame, which means he'll be remembered for something by definition.

Griffey is the Grant Hill of baseball. Except Griffey has the HR stat that will push him into the HOF.
