Default I would like to nominate...

ewth8tr as comeback athlete of the year.

Goes from have never run more than a mile at a time to doing a half marathon recently.

Puts up more miles running in a month than almost anyone else I know (except guipinno, of course ).

And has dropped 21 pounds in the last 4 months.

Very inspirational stuff.

Of course SteelBlue deserves mention with this honor, having lost 30 pounds this year alone. Of course, he has been running a bit longer than h8tr, but still 30 pounds is 30 pounds.

And he holds the lead in the 5K challenge.

Thanks, but h8tr has me way outclassed in this one. Fusnik seems to have his sights set on the prize for next season.

I'll drink to that! (Gatorade, of course). Well done ewth8tr. I look forward to meeting you at a race sometime.

Running the detroit half marathon in October... weight lifting has been sparse since my new arrival.

I put a little gym in my garage. I've got a decent bench, a squat rack and about 400 pounds of Olympic weights and a dumbell rack from 25 through 50 pounds. This has helped me to hit the weights a minimum of twice a week. Best purchase I ever made.

Have you been running much?

I was running about 24 miles a week until a bought my bike.

I have ran zero miles since buying the bike I thought I would try a 6 mile run tomorrow, but doubt I could do it, which spurs the question, how does riding translate to running?
