invited to The TdF. Did we know this? First time that two American teams have been invited in the same year. Sadly, Astana is still being left out. I hope that is remedied before the tour, but it isn't looking good.

Two weaker American teams while leaving out Astana. This should help some of the French riders finish a little higher in the standings.

Personally I think this is worse than the doping scandals themselves in terms of credibility. Does anyone believe that by excluding Astana, with its complement of podium finishers, ASO has managed to weed out the problem of drug taking? I think the question itself is laughable. No one will doubt, however, that at least three of the ten most likely podium finishers were excluded simply because 1. they associated with a team owner that ASO doesn't like and 2. they are managed by a DS that ASO doesn't like.

This is a joke. I am finding it hard to be excited baout two American teams under these circumstances.
