Default Maybe I just didnt see it but.........

Reading Utefans I have seen a lot of talk about how good TCU was tonight, and honestly I did not think TCU played that great of a game. Their D-ends were silent all night, their secondary was awful, I will give the linebackers a ton of credit. But I felt like Utah was just hurting themsleves with bad play calling and poor decision making.

On the flip side TCUs offense did not impress me that much but Utahs D seems to give up a lot of big plays, but buckle down when they need to, especially on 3rd down.

If I did not watch either team all year long, I would not have been overwhelmed by either teams performance, in fact I probably would have shut the game off halfway through.

This game was very similar in tone and style to the BYU/Utah game last year.

TCU moved the ball pretty much at will between the 20's....and then they'd shoot themselves in the foot and be forced to kick field goals.

They had the ball 4 times inside the Utah 25 and came away with exactly ZERO points.

The only difference in the game is TCU didn't score on their final drive like BYU did.

The phenomenon you are describing is what is referred to as "two good, evenly matched teams playing each other."

I thought they were evenly matched. Lets be honest though Ludwig has to go, if I was a Utefan I would be calling for his head.

Ludwig was pathetic tonight. Of course you cannot say that around most Ute fans. The fumblerooski call was pathetic as was the Asiata pass on 3rd and 1.

I almost had an aneurism after those two calls.

The most telling stat was Utah's D keeping TCU off of the scoreboard (with the help of the ghost of Kaneshiro) over the final 52:51. TCU moved the ball well while in-between the 20's, but no further. Kruger rolling Dalton like a bowling ball on third down was classic.

You can credit that sack to sly on his blitz causing Dalton to run out of the pocket.

This is the play I was referring to:

"Get up, Dalton! I haven't finished kicking your ass!"

Dustin Hensel should have been named Player of the Game for what he did to Hughes. Hensel made Hughed a non-factor.
