Default Watched practice today

I like to get to all the open practices/scrimmages I can. It was fun to see the team today.

When I evaluate scrimmages, I look at individual players and they compare to those around them--that's about the only evaluation you can do since it's BYU against BYU.

Based on just what I saw today, I didn't see anyone at the DL or secondary that gives me a warm fuzzy that the D will be any better.

Hudson didn't impress as much as I hoped.

Linebackers should be real solid.

Jason Beck has grown into a nice backup QB. Too bad he doesn't have any elgibility left.

The usual suspects on offense: Brown, Harline, Beck, and the OL. We know how good they are.

These people who are saying the secondary can't get any worse just because--I don't believe it yet. Those that are hyping the DL--I don't see that either.

Every since Lavell left, the program seems to be much less fan friendly. They could make open practices much better from a fan perspective--i.e. seating, proximity to the team, view, etc.
