Very interesting article. As "donor babies" reach adulthood, my guess is that we will hear from them more and more and the way this whole thing is currently viewed will change. Kids need a mom and a dad. Life will see to it that many of them don't get that, but when one of their parent's sees to it, that is just selfish. Isn't it?

LDS have a unique concept of why we bear offspring, we believe children are waiting to be born.
Now set that apart from the sperm donor concept where the children are objects to be acted upon. Interesting comparison.
