Armstrong is the best at turnover. I was always amazed at the cadence he maintained. If you want to see the other extreme watch Lemond. He would push some huge gears. Being able to ride at 30mph for an hour is incredible.

When Lance finished his Chemo he had lost a lot of muscle mass. His trainer decided that it would be best to train is cardio system and beat people with an insane cadence.

When I'm pushing things, my cadence is at 100. When I first started, my cadence was 70.
I think it's a natural progression to increase your cadence. |

I try to tri ride in the nineties, but when I TT I try to hold one hundred. During a race, I try to keep a high cadence to preserve power for when it's needed. On climbs I try a higher cadence by sometimes that goes out the window.
