Default iPod problems?

I was running outside with my iPod this morning, and it suddenly died on me. I can't turn it back on (just charged it, so battery is not dead). This is the second time this has happened to me while running outside (versus running on a treadmill where the iPod is not being jostled around). Anyone else have this problem?

Don't know why the ipod is on the fritz, but wanted to pass along the best podcast I have found

Podrunner... free music. It is kind of techno dance music with a great beat. He puts out a new one each week set to a BPM. Pretty cool stuff. Great to run to and really zone out while you run.

Mine froze on me once. I had to do a soft boot, though I don't remember how. It is in the manual somewhere.

Hold the Menu and center button down together until the Apple logo displays (a few seconds); that should reset the ipod.

yes, I remember resetting it before, but my real question was: should I not bother to run with this thing? Is it not meant to be bounced around?

thanks for the tip, Zulu, I might check it out. Even though techno usually makes me want to tear my hair out.

Farrah, which ipod do you own? Here's my very basic understanding: if you have one of the regular ipod's then there are moving parts that can be jostled while exercising. That's why the Nano's and shuffle are so popular right now. Apparently, they use a flash drive technology with no moving parts. I was wondering why my 8 Gig Nano cost the same as a 40 Gig regular ipod and that was the answer I was given.

Like Steel said, if it is a nano or a shuffle with a flash dtrive there should be no problems. If it is of the hard drive variety, you should not run with it.

Thanks, it does have a hard drive, so I will not longer run outside with it.

Thanks for the tip Zulu. I just downloaded one of these and am looking forward to running to it. There are 45 of them now and they're all free.
