Yes, Christ THROUGH his prophet has in fact condemned Gay marriage. That is a FACTUAL statement no matter how much you want to dodge the question. So I'll ask again, since you have no backbone to actually answer the question....who's right....you or Jesus Christ?

Either you believe he's communicated to the Prophet that Gay Marriage is wrong or you don't. Obviously you don't. So you can continue your deceptive spins on the issue, but more so the question. Get some guts. Oh and by the way..it has been explained on a number of occasions why Homosexual marriage is a dangerous affront to the family, but even more so in an eternal perspective than anything,,,but again you're too full of pride and vitriol towards our Prophet's condemnation of the practice that has come directly from Jesus Christ to admit that you've simply got a weakness in your testimony when it comes to this fact.

You are missing the point. Whether or not gay marriage is immoral is irrelevant to deciding if we should legislatively ban gay marriage. Lots of things are legal that are immoral. Christ has said those things are immoral too, yet legislating against them would be nonsensical (such as prohibiting adultery or pornography).

In determining if we should legislate against an issue, we must weigh societal benefits versus societal harms and see if the measure is necessary and justifiable. I have yet to hear a strong argument for why, aside from morality and religion, gay marriage should be prohibited.

Christ, as I stated, NEVER mentioned if gay marriage should be legislatively banned. He may find it immoral, but that is night and day different from saying it should be illegal.

How many times in the New Testament can you point to an attempt by Christ to involve himself in legislation and legal prohibition of a certain action? And yet, he preached that a lot of things were immoral. Why the distinction?

But you're right, I should probably and will refrain from making comments about this topic in the future as I've made it clear where I stand. Like I've said before it's a shame that too many are too chicken to stand with direction that has come directly from the Savior.

If you choose to ignore me, go ahead.
Rocky, I respect your opinion very much. But I am a bit puzzled lately how you seem inclined to wield your opinion like a blunt instrument. The name-calling and such don't strike me as being particularly Christ-like.
