We simply have no patience for people using trailer park arguments. If you want to do a Jerry Springer, you do it where people fall for those type of charades.

That's why, for the most part, evangelicals don't take part in academic discussions of any moment.

So then you don't deny that your entire mission to Utah and purpose here is ad hominem.

It is only through acceptance of Christ's atoning sacrifice that we are corrected and saved ... not Aaron Shafs actions or intellect.

Vicious? I'm just teasing you a bit.

Are you all like this? You come and drop in with drivel, contributing so little that is actually interesting. What do you expect? You don't engage, other than to show us what you think are naked pictures of our mothers and then run away waiting for a reaction.

Perhaps you're incapable. Perhaps you don't know Mormons well enough to engage them in a way that they will actually respond. Or are you just afraid?

Aaron, you're future is bright in your evangelical world, your true target audience. You're building up a bevy of stories to tell on your worldwide "My Life Among the Godless Mormons" victory tour. Your people will eat this up and pay top dollar. The book royalties alone should keep you, your wife, and your child enjoying the blessings of good Christian service for years to come. Not too original, but it really works in your world.

Was that vicious?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Mormons aren't in a position to call anybody anti-intellectual. Tex's are more common than you think.
