Default 2010 projected two deep:

QB: Jake Heaps (freshman), Riley Nelson (RS sophomore), Jason Munns (RS freshman), James Lark (RS freshman), Stephen Covey (RS junior)

RB: Malosi Te'o (rs freshman), JJ Diluigi (RS junior), Mike Hague (junior)

FB: Kaneakua Friel (RS junior), Bryan Kariya (junior)

WR: O'neill Chambers (junior), Mckay Jacobsen (junior), Spencer Hafoka (junior), Luke Ashworth (senior), Marcus Matthews (sophomore), Jordan Smith (sophomore)

TE: Devin Mahina (sophomore), Austin Holt (freshman), Braden Brown (sophomore), Mike Muehlman (sophomore),

OT: Matt Reynolds (junior), Braden Hansen (sophomore), Walter Kahaiali'i (sophomore), Famika Anae (sophomore), Ryan Freeman (sophomore)

OG: Garrett Reden (senior), Terrence Brown (senior), Maanaki Vaitai (sophomore), Jason Speredon (Senior).

C: Houston Reynolds (freshman), Nick Alleto (junior)

DE: Matt Putnam (junior), Romney Fuga (junior), Jordan Richardson (sophomore)

DT: Eathyn Manumaleuna (sophomore), Rick Wolfley (senior), Victor Unga (junior)

OLB: Michael Alisa (junior), Grant Nelson (senior) Brandon Ogletree (sophomore), (the rest are hard to predict because I think Hadley and Sorenson go on missions.

MLB: Aveni Leung Wai (junior), Austen Jorgensen (junior), would be Pritchard but I think he goes on a mission.

CB: Brandon Bradley (senior), G Pittman (junior), Garrett Nicholson (RS sophomore), Gary Nagy (junior)

S: Jordan Pendelton (junior), Shiloah Te'o (junior),Andrew Rich (senior), Steven Thomas (junior)

I think we will still be pretty damn good. Their are still several players taht I am sure I am forgetting about as well as new recruits that will also contribute.

I think both Hola and Ahhh-fooo-TIDDY are redshirting this year. I bet both start as seniors in 2010.

I forgot about Jorgenson and Weing Lei. Is Alissa definitely not planning on serving a mission as of right now?

I was told he was not planning on serving but who knows. I forgot about Bernard and Tevita. I think a 4-3 may be a better option in 2010 with Afutiti and Putnam at the ends, and Hola and Manumaleuna in the middle.

I thought Fuga was a DT, not a DE.

He was projected as a DE coming out of Highschool, but with Dulan, and Tonga there he played DT.

Is there going to be an ONeill Chambers in the 2009 recruiting class? i.e. talented prospect with little in the way to connections to BYU and Mormonism?

I don't think Pendleton starts over Rich. Rich is getting more an more playing time this year and I think that next year it will be Rich and Te'o back there.

I heard rumors of him being switched guard when he got back. After watching Fuga play his freshman year I don't think they move him to DE.

No. I think this class had so many capable mormons that that is not likely. Further, I don't think there are immediate needs at the positions that demographic routinely fills.

I could perhaps see BYU go after a JC rb if in fact Pouhaha doesn't ever pass the ACT. The future looks a bit grim post Unga.
