Default 4 years of Mangum would be great

But realistically, if he continues along with his current progression, how long will he stay?

Could he be a 1 and done? 2 and done?

I think 3 years is the max, and no way he would be here for 4 years. Barring fluke injury.

I don't think it's crazy to think he could be a 1st round draft pick after 2 years. Or maybe even 1 year.

Real Heisman candidacy is not out of the question. I think he has zero chance of winning this year. Getting pub, yes, maybe even on the back end of the mix.

Was he that good vs UCLA?

That was frustrating for me.

* Sister getting married
* Parents cut their DVR
* FS1 did not have a replay.

He's the best passer since Beck, I think.

He was good. His efficiency number wasn't that great but the only reason was not having a high enough yards per attempt. Everything else was excellent, and UCLA was working very hard to not get beaten deep since Mangum had shown until this game that he could kill teams with the deep ball but was maybe not as comfortable with the short passing game. So UCLA played to take away anything deep while trying to bring the pressure, but leaving the middle open. Mangum was great in reading it and very effective with what was available. He also converted on several third downs and was great on timing and placement.

UCLA has a great defense against the pass and BYU did much better than UCLA's previous two opponents. I didn't think Virginia was going to be very good but they game Notre Dame everything they could handle, so they may not be bad.

Agree. But now I see Cougarboard has already started a completely hypothetical QB controversy for next year. So typical of that site. I'd be very surprised if Taysom Hill came back for another year. At his age if he has any interest in playing professionally he just needs to get healthy and hire an agent. One more year of college makes zero sense for him unless he wanted a year to showcase himself at another position.

I just watched the game. He was good but nothing spectacular.

Defense played extremely well.

He is great for his 2nd full game. This kid has it. He sees the field, he makes the throws. He is mentally strong.

We are in business as long as he is here and healthy.

I like him, but he is not leaving early for the NFL. Michigan game brought him down to earth like a rock falling from the Empire State Building.

He has a LOT to learn. This year will continue to be rocky. Mizzou may torch BYU.

I wonder if BYU will gain more than 100 yards against Mizzou.
