MWC media blitz
Isn't this coming up next week? I am quite curious to see what will happen with the mtn. I am in Utah, so I imagine I will get all of the games no matter what. But I think this is a critical issue for the MWC, because if national providers don't carry the mtn, the MWC won't get ANY exposure for voters. I wonder if they have thought that aspect of things through. No tv=no votes=no high ranking=no BCS.
There is already an East Coast bias. Why help that bias out by making games doubly inaccessible? The accessibility of the mtn is going to be a make it or break it issue for the MWC. They had better be giving that station away for free if needs be. |

Thnaks. I am surprised I haven't heard anyone else talk about the negative effects to rankings, bowl affiliations, BCS considerations, etc. that a lack of media exposure could bring. Everyone talks about how they would be mad if they couldn't see their team play, but I think the ramifications go far beyond that if MWC teams (particularly the good ones) are not on television most weeks. CSTV may very well regret putting every MWC team on its national station rather than focusing on the best teams and best matchups each week. |
