I own the DVD (director's cut makes it even better), watched it (for the record, I've probably seen the film about a zillion times, including opening night at the theater in '79) and yes, I played the video game. The greatest video game in the history of the world, with the exception of Intellivision Football.

Is that any different than watching a college football game then replaying it on PS2?
I don't like sports video games, actually. i find them really boring for some reason.

Opening night Warriors? That has me beat, hands down. I have also seen the movie a ton and have visited several of the Manhattan spots for picture taking.

Ever ridden the Wonder Wheel?

I did ride the Wonder Wheel. It was my Mecca.

After the movie in the theater, my friends and I got into it with some of those punks from Brighton High School. It lasted for about two minutes before the cops broke it up.

The Sandy police department apparently listened to the concerns of the community about the release of that movie and were well manned.
