With Quantum of Solace coming out, it is time to resurrect the best of Bond lists on here.

Best theme song:

1) For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton
2) Nobody Does it Better - Carly Simon
3) On Her Majesty's Secret Service - John Barry
4) Goldfinger Shirley Bassey
5) A View to a Kill - Duran Duran

Toughest omissions: Thunderball, You Know My Name (I hated this one at first but now really like it), Diamonds are Forever

Good list, though I'd bump Duran Duran to the top only because I'm biased.

I actually hate Duran Duran but it it cannot be denied as a very good Bond title theme.

I don't particularly like the Sheena Easton song, but she was a babe back in the day, so that helps.

Nobody does it better than Carly, but Live and Let Die is also a good Bond theme.

If All Time High wasn't such a copy of Nobody Does it Better, it would be up there too.

Where is Live and Let Die? Where is From Russia With Love?

Repent until you learn more about James Bond.

Live and Let Die sucks and is clearly the most overrated Bond theme. I know plenty about Bond. Perhaps it is hatred of all things Beatles clouding my mind, but I am standing by it. I guess I should clarify by saying title themes. From Russian With Love is great, but the title theme was just the Bond theme for that one not the song From Russian with Love.

The Radiohead cover of Nobody Does it Better is better than the original. Radiohead should have been given the task to do the Bond theme for Quantum of Solace.

Wish list of bands to do the next Bond theme

1) Radiohead
2) John Zorn (may not be able to cut down the weird enough to make it work)
3) Sex Mob
4) Propellerheads
5) Portishead

2-4 should be teamed with Shirley Bassey (assuming she isn't dead).
