Default 3 Hour Ride w/ Mrs. Hippie

She isn't exactly a champ at the ITT and I don't think she'll be getting any calls to be a domestique in the next TdF but she did pretty good for her first "real" road ride.

A 3 hour road ride her first time out????

Man, you really don't want to get into cycling at all, do you. She's not going to be able to sit on a hard chair for a week.

Nah, a broomstick should be okay. For me, its the ischial tuberosities that take the brunt of the punishment after not riding for a long time.

She picked the ride. We rode to her work (50 min) and then went to find a trail that is supposed to wind thru downtown Pullman, WA. (appx 45 min)

Then we rode home from Pullman (1 hr).

She said her ITs were aching but she's got a sweat seat (and her saddle isn't bad either... bah dump pah ching!).

She says she's going to do a tri with me next year. I know she can do the swim, and I know she'll be able to pull off the ride, if she can just get up to a 10k run she'll be in business. From that point on it's only about going faster.
