Default 40 miles starting at 11am

in 100+ heat. Why do I like to suffer so?

Coolest thing about my ride. Going on this concrete trail, creek that goes through the middle of the city. What looked to be a dog was crossing the area, I get closer, that is no dog. It's a cat. A large one. Larger than possible. Get closer, it's a freaking bobcat with black and white tufted ears. I've never seen such a huge cat in the wild. Especially weird was that it was 100+ at about 1:30 pm. And in the middle of the city.

This must be an omen of some kind.

That happened to me on a ride last year. I thought it was a yellow lab, then realized it was a bobcat. It didn't seem to mind me being there too much. Just kept walking.

Last time I saw a bobcat was on Boulder Mountain in Garfield County, Utah about 15 years ago. It was big. Saw it when I was on a quest to blow Bambi away. It makes sense to see one where I did, but in the city? Not too common.

It looked at me sitting on the large rock where I was and I swear it had the "What the hell are you doing out here?" look on it's face.
