Default I ran with the newest Brooks out of the box

they are comfortable. Trance 7s. Very nice support and they have me running neutral.

Best part, they're not Nike and they're great.

Down with the Evil Empire, up with good shoes.

How often do you go through shoes?

I like Brooks. I get Glycerins, which I personally think is a terrible brand name.

One new pair every 6 months.

I bought the Brooks Trance 6 running shoes about 4 months ago. Best shoes that I have ever run in. I may have to try the 7 series.

Brooks does make good shoes. Adrenalines were actually the first pair of running shoes I ever bought. Ran my first marathon in them, but I haven't owned a pair since.

Speaking of Brooks, the Brooks-Hanson distance project is doing some good things from what I read.

Dude, your avatars are great. I think you should go for some Firehouse next.

The next one won't be Firehouse, but I believe all 80's metal heads will approve.
