Default LDS vs. FLDS

I honestly had no idea the confusion was that widespread. Maybe that was naive of me.

The 29% who said the LDS and FLDS were not connected at all, are wrong.

We parted ways with polygamy decades ago, but we share a common heritage with the FLDS. The "The LDS Church is not affiliated in anyway with the FLDS," is more accurate.

Sociologists of Religion put the FLDS in the Mormon branch of Christianity, but not, of course, in the LDS Church. Evangelicals might go nuts if they knew that the pointy headed academics have categorized Mormons as Christian, albeit with their own branch.

I don't know why, but every time I see the FLDS walking around it reminds me of BYU.

I would think it would remind you more of Ricks. After all, it's a more strict dress code.

True, but Ricks rarely enters my mind. BYU is constantly in my thoughts and prayers.
