Default Factors causing Bush to invade Iraq

Let's leave aside for a moment WMD's and the extent if any that concern about these were real or pretextual factors in Bush's decision to invade Iraq. I submit that Bush was no different than the head of state of other beligerent nations in history in that his decision to invade a foreign country and occupy it was decisively motivated by 1) money; and 2) bizarre and petty psychological factors. Who agrees?

No "blood for oil"?

I'm disappointed.

Why is it that every time I get into a debate with someone on this board, they create a poll about it? It's like they need a group hug to make them feel better about their position. I wonder what Freud would say about that.

It's starting to weird me out a little.

To demonstrate you're on the lunatic fringe.

Because you don't recognize when you lose an argument. Maybe it's a reality check, too - "Am I the moron or is it Tex?"

I'm going with because Saddam wouldn't give McDonald's any business licenses there.

Or maybe it's just proof that the inmates do run the asylum.

Wow, I didn't realize how liberal the folks were on this board. I like it. I would rather be around a bunch of people who disagree with me so I can get some understanding of how liberals think.

IMO, you don't have to be liberal to see through Bush. He's no conservative.
