Tex, I agree that "racist" has been overused, and will continue to be. That said, and this will be very instructive for me, did you find no racist content in what exUte posted in this thread?

Frankly, I didn't read it. I read Venkman's first, and FM's, and that's it.

But while we're talking about it, I'd like to just clarify what racism actually is: judging superiority on skin color. I don't read much posted by anyone on this site that leads me to believe someone thinks that.

I see a lot of insensitive racial remarks, and occasionally some bigotry too. But it doesn't necessarily rise to the level of racism. That's a fairly serious charge that has been so overused as to render it nearly meaningless.

EDIT: So I went back and read over it ... are we talking about his use of the term "Blackberry"? I don't think that's de facto racist by the definition above, but I agree it's an unnecessary and inappropriate racial remark. I don't like racial nicknames, of any kind.
