Yes, although I think many have tried to link the two issues (including yourself, I believe). And the bathroom law is much more extreme than anything BYU does.

I'm sure ND has already figured out how to accommodate its transgender students' bathroom needs in a way that satisfies them. He's more complaining about the power that the institutions have ceded to the NCAA, and wondering whether the NCAA has exceeded it.

I know, but NCAA overreach is relevant to conference expansion as well.

I'm not interested in what Notre Dame does, just in what Father Jenkins said.

I see that as being mildly helpful to BYU's cause.

Catholics haven't been carrying their weight and have been allowing Mormons to take all the incoming fire. So when one Catholic sticks his head over the berm for just a second, I guess that's something.
