Default sarah palin analysis

IF you saw the debate, what do you think of what this columnist is saying. The substance of what she said was severely lacking, IMO. But it's ok because she looked nice, I guess. I have to say he makes some good points that underscore why I think she was a bad choice who ultimately will sink McCain.

Like Romney or not, and maybe it wouldn't have won it for him, but McCain's campaign probably wouldn't be crashing and burning right now had he picked Romney instead.

McCain is crashing and burning because he has no message.

that too. But Romney might have helped more voters overlook that.

Possibly, but this doesn't help matters.

I'm sure if McCain just politely asked the LA Times and AP to actually report on the content of his speech, they'd do it. Hell, they carry Obama's water, why not McCain's?

I don't really disagree, this is a year of popular shiny objects. The primary difference between the politics of Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama is packaging. Maybe Ted Kennedy is what this country needs. I don't say that with sarcasm, I'm just pointing out that Palin isn't even the best example in this election cycle of people getting behind someone primarily because they are attractive and polished.

No one is getting behind Palin other than the religious right crowd that McCain already had in his bag. I was saying for weeks McCain's worst option was to placate the RR with his VP choice because they weren't suddenly going to vote for Obama. He's lost everyone else. At least he solidified Mississippi and Louisiana though.

This is hilarious considering who you're supporting.
