it wasn't that many seats -- 4-5k empty seats doesn't send the message. Nor do more than that during the 4th quarter of the last game of the year when it's freezing cold and BYU is blowing out Fresno. Other than that, the attendance wasn't as bad as some people like to say it was. It has to be more like 20k empty seats like at the end of the Crowton era before anyone in charge notices.

I do not trust Administration. The same sort of organization that makes inopportune and crazy changes to the HBOI and believes people should work for free does not understand what it takes to succeed on the big stage.

9-3 team with tons of empty seats. I think that is significant. It doesn't go unnoticed. Why do you think Bronco was entering 2016 with just one year left on his contract?

Listened to Holmoe during halftime interview of BYU basketball game. Says he hopes to have new coach hired within the week. Knew that Bronco was probably gone a couple days before it was announced.

Says he has been in contact with potential candidates.

I wonder if Ty Detmer is inserting himself as a potential coach. I bet he would love to coach his nephew. Who is probably the 4th string next year if Taysom Hill comes back for another year. And Hoge is backing up Mangum.

Unhappy

I would take Anae. We need a Poly, plain and simple. The recruits we whiff on at the most important non-Qb positions, DL and OL, are all Polynesian.

Of course, Niumatulolo would be best. Sitake would also be good so we won't have Howell calling plays.

I have this eerie feeling the old boys network would prevail, however.

The best Lds prospects on the OL and DL all come from one demographic. We can kill many birds with one stone if we pour resources there.

They say a well-fitted suit is a man's lingerie. All the ladies I target are at church. Hence I pour all my style money into suits, ties, pocket squares, tailoring. Can't believe why more people don't see this.

6. K Whitt
7. Ty Detmer (not qualified)
8. Tom Holmoe (hiring himself)
9. Andy Reid (not going to happen)
10. Robbie Bosco (technically an internal candidate)
What about this guy?

http://www.seahawks.com/team/coaches...darrell-bevell

Is LDS with a lot of NFL coaching experience, which fact won't be lost on the top LDS talent. Hasn't been a head coach except at the low college level early in his career, but he does have some college coaching experience as an assistant at the then-BCS level (UConn) so he's not unfamiliar with recruiting. I do think BYU could succeed with a "pro-style" type offense because we can usually get QB talent and in the past at least have been able to recruit talent on the lines.

Oversight of me not to put him on the list. He's definitely someone I was thinking about and is being talked about.

I don't know enough about the guy to have an idea if he would be good. But I'd take him in a heart beat over the internal candidates.
