Taken @ 4:30am; getting food ready for the morning arrivals. We usually line up at the lot by 10pm on Friday night and get to our preferred spot by midnight. Takes us about an hour to get everything up. Setup is two 20'x10' popups and two flat screens; one for the Wii and the second for football games. We run our dish for the second game. I'm kicking around bringing in a smoker for this season.




We end up feeding all the poly players and their families:






It's your typical tailgate fare: brats, burgers, dogs and always complimented with kalua pork, poke, spam musubi, fried rice, mac salad, taro...no one goes away hungry.

It's an all day affair, depending on the kickoff time, I'm at the stadium for possibly 24+ hours on the weekend. It's hard work, but NOTHING beats college football in the fall!

See, now THAT is how tailgating is done.

I wish I would have been able to swing by when we were down there in 03 when we played at SC.

We almost always have more people at the games than tickets, so it helps to have a spot for them to watch the game. I've probably watched more games outside the stadium than inside over the last 4 years.

What's the typical tailgate scene in Provo? I didn't see much in '04 when I came up for SC vs BYU.

Sucks. One of my old bosses went to Auburn and he'd always talk to me about their tailgates. Made me jealous. And Sipi Tau that tailgate you guys set up is what I envision when I close my eyes and think Heaven is a tailgate.
