Default It looks like MLB is going to go the route of replay...

Remove the human element and the soul of the sport is removed as well

I know there are a few folks here who like the idea, but I'm against it. Probably because I'm too much of a baseball traditionalist.

That said, if that's the way it's going to be, then I'll just have to live with it.

Hate the idea. I hate it in football, I can only imagine it will be equally as crappy in baseball.

Hey! We can agree!

Like you, I'm not a fan of it in football. Just play the game and let it happen. It's much more fun that way.

Sure...until the Orioles make the World Series and lose game 7 on a bad home run call. Then you'll be instant replay's biggest fan.

I suppose as a baseball traditionalist, you are outraged that your favorite team, the Orioles, use a designated hitter.

The DH rule is for wussi.

Well, the only flaw in your scenario is that the Orioles will take themselves out of the pennant race each year by June at the latest.

Yes, I hate the DH. I wish the AL would go back to playing baseball the right way.

I'd also like to see relief pitchers go away. Real men pitch 9 innings.

Speaking of which, I vaguely remember a playoff game about 10 years ago, I think it was Orioles / Yankees (?) where a fan stripped the ball out of the outfielders glove, therefore the call being a home run rather than a ground rule double, and changed the outcome of the game.

Other than that I can't think of a good example of recent human error in a key game.

Yeah, the kid reached over the wall and caught it. Jeffrey something or other, I don't remember his name. Of course, in NY he was a hero. It's all about perspective.

Well, I was going to say something like "The Orioles finally make it to the World Series after 165 years...", but I didn't want to be rude.
