Guys that don't have watches must be unemployed slackers.

I like Seattle Ute's taste. I have a friend who has a Breitling Emergency. His little boy jumped on his lap when he was least expecting it and the first thing he said was, "Whoa, look out for the watch."

My brother-in-law asked him how much it cost to which he replied, "More than your truck," pointing to his new Ford F150 Supercrew.

My brother-in-law kind of rolled his eyes and said, "You don't know how much I paid for my truck."

And he replied, "No. But I know how much I paid for my watch."

I don't wear a watch. I hate tan lines.

I have an architect friend who does or did wear a similar Skagen for an everyday watch. Definitely go for quartz if accuracy is the issue. Any automatic that is as accurate as quartz will cost a year's salary, I would guess.

This watch is interesting. The mesh band has kind of a "geek chic" to it.

Not sure if I would go out and rock one with a Members Only jacket and velcro Kangaroos, but it could be spiced up a bit with some Campers and jeans.

Mesh bands are very 80s, but that isnt necessarily a bad thing.

I answered the poll question but I'm not posting a picture. That would be entirely to metrosexual for me.

Your dead bug windshield avatar will offset any metrosexuality that exudes from your watch.

This one:

Interestingly, this photo comes from a Timex Ironman online museum at the Poor Man's Watch Forum. Some people really do have too much time on their hands.

NOTE: I posted this under Mrs. Meanie's account because she left her computer sitting on the table.

Possibly. Or perhaps we're not so riven with insecurity that we feel the complusion to wear needlessly expensive hunks of metal and glass on our wrists to prove our self-worth.
