How'd you play? Thanksgiving Point is a tough course, but lots of fun.

The course was nice, the Monday deal for nine holes and a golf cart for 14 bucks is a great deal. I started out terrible and ended up a little less terrible. I lost 8 balls and only found one. We'll get there eventually.

Default Getting better at golf

Change the definition of "good".

I play three or four times a year, and have never broken 50 over 9 holes. Didn't want to invest the time and money to play more, but wanted to get better.

Then I went golfing with a relative who played golf about as well and as often as I did. Never had more fun golfing in my life. He kept score of three things - his golf score, how many tees he broke, and his net gain/loss of balls. He'd hit off the tees and immediately would be looking for his tee. If he found it unbroken (or another unbroken tee left behind by someone else), he'd often do a little celebration dance right then and there. Played it all up and was very entertaining to be with.

He shot worse than me, but all he could talk about was how he came out ahead two balls.

Against my better judgment, I just can't help myself by asking you this:

Are you a female?

Hopefully, no offense was taken at my poor attempt at making a joke.
