Default Romney just spoke to the press about Bhutto

He spoke inelegantly, stumbled over his words, and sounded politically opportunistic.

Contrast that with the statement by PM Brown in Britain that immediately followed.

We can't afford Romney as CIC.

Our politicians are not trained in rhetoric as the Brits are. We haven't had one close to theirs since Reagan and will not likely select in the near future.

Do you actually believe Hillary or Obama sound elegant?

Obama had the sense to issue a public statement that was much more eloquent than Romney's inartful statement.

What is Romney trying to prove? That he can stumble over himself in front of cameras and that makes him more "real"?

If I want to listen to artful rhetoric, I'll listen to the Brits, and ignore all the Amis, who suck at rhetoric.

You're right, screw experience and ability and go straight for an actor. Oh, wait, that worked once.

Let's change the Constitution and get Arnold, who is actually doing a decent job in the People's Republic of California.

Well, Huckabee apologized for killing Bhutto...

"Mike Huckabee strode out to the strains of “Right Now” by Van Halen and immediately addressed the Bhutto situation, expressing “our sincere concern and apologies for what has happened in Pakistan.”

I feel like Obama is an empty vessel. He talks, he smiles, but I don't think there is any real substance there.

You know, I might agree with you. Romney is my empty vessel though. If Barak were a republican, then he would be my empty vessel.

Huckabee is likely getting a briefing right now about who Bhutto was- and where Pakistan is.

He wasn't aware that marital law had been lifted two weeks ago.

He made a bad choice of words when saying the U.S. needs to consider “what impact does it have on whether or not there’s going to be martial law continuing in Pakistan.” He should have said whether or not martial law will be reinstated – it was lifted nearly two weeks ago. A minor slip, maybe, but not a subject he wants to mess up on when he is already considered weak in the area of foreign policy.
He wasn't aware of the NIE 24 hours after it was released to the media either.

I didn't know about martial law being lifted either, but nobody cares if I don't know.
