This conversation should be put into perspective. Root Beer is what you drink until your parents let you have caffeine. It's a child's drink. Cola is where real carbonated pleasure lies (and there is no debate that Coke is the finest cola in the land).

The best root beer I have had is Weinhardt's; however, why would I buy Weinhardt's root beer when I could instead buy the Weinhardt's Vanilla Cream soda or Orange Cream soda.

Just tried the Abita. Nowhere near as good as Henry Weinhard's in my opinion. I really like the honey in the Weinhard's.
Abita tastes more like A&W, but with cane sugar instead of corn syrup. |
