Snipe has gone off on several threads attacking Colin Powell and McCain and calling them 'anything but courageous.' I don't even know why I engage someone like snipe, but I did. Anyway, after countless silly and useless snipe posts, BYUinNYC comes out with this whopper: http://www.cougarboard.com/noframes/...tml?id=2102840

That was a great post. And snipe is still painful to read. I seriously wonder if snipe gets talking around a group of people and everyone is just rolling their eyes.

Other than Snipe being brusk and sure of himself, why does he bother you more liberal guys more than most others? I'm NOT advocating his views, and have exchanged emails, suggesting, he is harsh in his views, but wonder why he bugs you guys more than some of the lesser informed posters on CB.

Oxcoug bugs me a little, mainly due to his smugness.

My biggest problem with snipe (and often tex and exUte) is the complete inability to see the other side of any issue. It bothers me when someone (democrat or republican) can only agree on a party line or can't imagine how someone does not believe like they do. It bthers me in the way that a message board does...not much. Its mainly an irritant.

snipe, exUte and tex often talk down to you like you are 5 years old if you happen to disagree with a policy. You bring up any worthwhile point and they shoot it down or shout it down and call you uneducated...mindless or moral-less liberal...or one of their other catch phrases. If they want to engage in useful dialogue, terrific...but they don't. They want to yell out their thoughts and then discourage any other thought. I have singled them out specifically...but I dislike equally as much on the liberal side. oxcoug, once in a while, shows he doesn't toe one political line but he truly speaks down to anyone that doesn't think like he does.

That 'Counterpoint' show on CNN that was with Tucker Carlson...I loved it when John Stewart was on it and he was basically saying that the show was a piece of crap because all they did was yell and disregard any dissenting view. That is why I dislike Sean Hannity, Rush and Al Franken. I enjoy the commentators that may lean one way but are willing to listen and discuss. Too bad there are not a lot of them.

When I read this I was looking at Mike's avatar, and I got a sad feeling and the fleeting impression that snipe and tex must be ungentlemanly or unchivilrous brutes.

snipe bugs me more than most because he just parrots the talking points of the Republican party. Tex can get lumped in that category as well. I have no problem with ideological conservatives. With them I just disagree. But rabid partisans are just taxing on everybody. Oxcoug on the other hand at least seems to have a little intellectual basis for his ideas. However, he is a major name caller and condescending.

Do we have a far left liberal on this board? With Robin gone I can't really name one. Hoya is probably the closest, but I wouldn't call him far left. Maybe he's "far left" for a Mormon, but outside of our culture he'd likely be called a moderate democrat.
