Default BYU vs. Texas game thread 2013

Another weather delay. God cries when he thinks about Bronco's football product rolling onto the field.

Well that was beautiful. Passing still sucks, but I feel better about this season.

I feel the same way. That game was entirely suspected. After the Virginia game, I expected Texas to win, but I also felt it wouldn't be shocking if BYU won.

I was not expecting a dominating rushing performance.

I was very high on Taysom Hill last year. I thought he reminded me of Tebow. Big, strong, athletic, can run, faster than Tebow. Not a horrible passer. Strong arm.

The game against Virginia did not leave me as optimistic. Saw a guy who had lost a step, was horrible passing (very inaccurate), and not making good decisions.

Now this week we saw better decision making, better running, slightly better passing (but still pretty bad). Even with a win, it still kind of hurts me that BYU cannot even be an average passing team. How does that happen? How is it that Ross Apo is the second best WR on this team?

Now we have some intrigue going into the rest of the schedule. Was this fool's gold, or something that is demonstrating that the team is growing and improving? Is the OL better now, or was the Texas defense that bad?

Certainly the chances to finish with a winning record and go to whatever crappy bowl they are tied into increased a bunch.

Part of me wants to be cautious and not assume too much. Part of me says there's no way under heaven Texas's D could be that bad.

I'm more patient with Anae+Bronco. Firing a productive OC for boring playcalling was wrongheaded. Canning a DC that produced one of the best in the country is too.

Texas really, really sucks.

Question is how good Utah is.
