Default Sunstone symposium

So I am looking at their website, and they mention that they have some of their symposium material on youtube. So I go to the link.

I listen to the first speaker. Ms. Armstrong. Dooce.com. She talks about blogging about being drunk and having sex with strangers. And her active LDS parents finding it. Ok. She met her husband on exMormon.org. Ok. BYU is the worst place on earth. Ok. Good for her, but not particularly interesting to me.

Then the next two are the Remy couple. I couldn't even bear to start listening to them.

Holy hell, that place must have jumped the shark a long time ago. To think, that in the few moments before, I was thinking, maybe I will subscribe.

If you take a look around the so called "Mormon Archipelago" it is a complete wasteland and farce.

Armstrong talking about doctrine is sorta like having a Marriott go on 60 Minutes -- she's there cuz she's a celebrity of sorts -- not because she has some deep philosophical/theological/sociological/historical point to make.

On this much we agree my friend.

True. This place is an outpost on the blasted, blighted archipelago. Without you, it's just monkeys coming out of a barrel. The dunes were already encroaching. Everyone shit faced on rum running low. YOh, 3D, Barb, they're funny bless their hearts, but they can't manage much more than that.
