oh lord help us all
Right-wing commentary from talking heads:
McCain lost because he wasn't far enough right on the social issues, and Palin wasn't enough to regain his credibility. The party should keep this in mind for 2012. Please tell me this loss is not a win for the neocons. |

A small quibble, I don't think being neocon has anything to do with social policy. Wouldn't you agree? I haven't listened to any right-leaning talking heads today, but I can imagine them saying what you describe.

technically you're correct, but the party has become the party of social conservatives with a neocon foreign policy. The combination of the two pretty much describes the Bush administration.

The question is whether what has been joined will ever be rent asunder. Of course, I reject both, so I'm happy as long as they lose favor, regardless of whether that happens discretely or in unison. |
