We picked up our rental car yesterday and discovered they gaves us a 4WD vehicle. So it was off to the jeep trails above Silverton, CO! I've got some great photos to post when I get home but that was one of the funnest things I've ever done. Single lane jeep trails up to old mine and mill sites, ghost towns, etc. Since we were in a stock Expedition we couldn't get to the really cool stuff that required high clearance / short wheelbase, better tires, etc. But it was still way cool.

Maybe next time my kids will be old enough that we can rent ATV's and really go exploring!
