Default Church is opening up in limited fashion in 2 weeks

in my stake at least. Numbers are limited, only Sacrament mtg, no singing. There will be sacrament. And social spacing. Interestingly, masks are encouraged but not required.

My ward is what they sometimes call a "newly wed and nearly dead" ward. Mostly older people. And younger couples and families in apartments.

I worry about these older folks.

Last Sunday was the first one open for our ward. My family did not attend. I am told that just over 30 persons attended.

I don't know what regular attendance is in my ward. Maybe 125?

Why are they opening up? It doesn't seem wise to me.

I think the reasoning is to allow persons who want the sacrament but don't have someone who can bless it in their own home.
