When Tex is presented with actual positions of Palin (she favors Alaskan secession), he doesn't need to make any inference about her belief system. She gave it to him. But he totally ignores those beliefs and asks us all to instead go back to the inference game with Obama.

How do you feel about Alaskan secession, Tex? What do you think about the wisdom of electing someone VP who believes Alaska should secede, and that the vote to join the Union was unconstitutional?

Let me guess: you would rather just keep playing the inference game with Obama.
I think Alaskan secession would be great. ANWR would finally be out from under the thumb of the environmentalist wackos, and Texas would again be our nation's largest state.

Win-win. Go Palin!

I looked at the blog, listened to NPR this morning, and didn't once hear anything that said Palin supported Alaskan succession.

Please provide evidence for what appears to be another one of your lies.

Of COURSE she supported Alaskan succession. It's the 49th state. It succeeded nearly all of them.

This is what it's going to come down to. One ticket now puts a face on personal responsibility (and a cute face at that), while the other personifies relying on government for an easy way out. You could make a decent argument that this one issue reflects the two distinct philosophies undergirding each of the tickets.

I see nothing there that says she personally supported succession.

Maybe with your Cali-like wisdom, you can show me what I'm missing.

Glossing over the minor fact that she's a governor now, of course.

But the comparison is irrelevant. Obama's true qualifications are found in the Bible: "Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations."

Let's just hope he comes unto his own, and his own receive him not.

She was a member of The Alaskan Independence Party. Read their platform. Or go to Youtube and watch their annual meeting where Palin spoke via a video presentation.
1. first off where is the evidence she was a member
2. second off, the person who accuses her of being a member acknowledges that the main point of the party is to get a vote, and that there is a wide diversity of viewpoints in the party, many not favoring secession.
3. this is not a fringe party in alaska, like it might be in other states. a governor was elected from the party.

succession is a sequence, Michael. I was making a bad joke.

As far as your question, I don't know if anyone suggested that she personally supported an Alaskan secession from the Union. I wasn't paying attention. All I've seen in the media is that she was affiliated with some party that supports as much.

My joke was better. Okay, it wasn't. But at least somebody thinks like me. Perhaps attention to orthographical accuracy was what Mike was referring to when he suggested I possess Cali-like wisdom.
