NRSV: Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation—

NASB: like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

ESV: Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation

TEV: Be like newborn babies, always thirsty for the pure spiritual milk, so that by drinking it you may grow up and be saved

KJV: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

The implications for conventional LDS thinking seem obvious.

This is a good example of how KJV from a poetic standpoint is the superior work.
