Boo....chopper someone or other on CB blatantly hacked Babs's post.

I cant stand hacks. I cant tolerate pretty much anything, but stealing someone else's material is inexcusable.

I do think that all this Obama doomsday talk is ridiculous....the country will become socialist, etc....give me a break. If Obama is a lousy President, fine, so be it. He very well may be. It is just 4 years. We will elect someone else. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, for crying out loud.

Good grief, you're kidding, right?

Here is one measure of the effectiveness of Palin as VP pick: how many of you watched Biden give HIS speech?

Like her or not, people are now listening.

Whoa there. You're new around here so I'll give you a tip. SU is kind of a big deal around here and you won't make any friends by insulting him.

Not a great measure. If he had picked Cody Judy, I would have watched, as well.

I think poll numbers may be a better measure. And those have not really jumped up over the past few days.

Based on her performance tonight, I would guess the numbers will go up now, though.

I'm pretty sure that it's whatever John McCain tells her his position is. Same as Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

What did she say tonight on any substantive topic other than the only topics we already knew about- abortion and drilling? She spoke for about 15 minutes on her family. Then she spoke about Obama with a few comments on the two issues she is known for. What else was there?
She claimed to have fought against the "good ole boys," but never really elaborated on that.

She also really played the POW card pretty heavily. I am surprised there were no Rudy G 9/11 references.
