I was planning on hitting it hard this morning to try to drop some seconds on my 5K times. But my buddy that I ran with did a bike race last night and was dead this am. So I did an easy 7 miler with some 150-200 yard sprints mixed in.

I'm resting today. I need to put in a 20-miler tomorrow. Training for Ogden in a couple of months.

Thats a pretty hefty training run for a race that's still a couple of months away. What is your long run training schedule?

Actually, it's kind of sneaking up on me. I'm just trying to get long runs in when I can. With my travel schedule it's tough. I did a 20 two weeks ago and after tomorrow's I hope to be able to get two or three more in. Plus I have a half marathon (Race to Robie Creek) in April.

Have you decided whether or not to do Pocatello this year?

Yeah, I'm definitely planning on Ogden and Pocatello. I'm also mulling over Deseret News. I'll see how I feel after Ogden.

You need to do the Ogden half with me. Its a beautiful course running past Pine View Resivoir (sp?), and down Ogden Canyon, then down the Ogden river parkway into downtown ogden.

The Winter Racing Circuit Half is next weekend, the 5th of April. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be the third year in a row I've run it, and it's a good race. It follows the first half of the Ogden Marathon route. Running this one along with the Ogden Half is a good way to see the Ogden Marathon route, without actually running the full Ogden Marathon.
