Sounds unconstitutional, but in many respects, those symbols may become signs of "gangs and drugloards" so who knows.

No, terroists try to blend. Those are our wannabe gangster types. It may still be unconstitutional as an infringement on freedom of expression and may yet be stricken down by our courts.

well, the council actually voted for this legislation unanimously ,so the mayer cannot veto it,and it will immediately become a law ..but it is still not the case ..the point which i intended to put here was .. while alike supervision is taking place in Iran ,us media would attempt to spread a propaganda inorder to dehumanize iranian authorities ,which is indeed dishonest.

I'm sure this is a foreign concept to you, but unconstitutional laws get passed all the time here. That's what our court system is for. Just because the council says so doesn't mean it will stand.

Yep. All any group that opposes any kind of law has to do is file an appeal with the 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco - whether the 9th Circuit Court has jurisdiction or not - and they can have it overturned, especially if it promotes a socialist agenda.

you right ,its a foreign concept to me,and thats becuase we have a guardian council, which wouldnot give any chance for unconstitutional law to get passed from the first step.

but this law seems a little bit too rigid ..500 dollars or up to six months in jail for wearing baggy trousers?? no doubt that hollywood starlets would get a lifetime -jail with this law enforcement!

well, there was unanimous vote for this law and it signifies a real conern .. so what would happen if opponents simply fill an appeal and get the law overturned ,while the concern is still???

I was being facetious; I was commenting on how the 9th Circuit Court has a reputation to overstep it's judicial boundaries.

The fact that it was a unanimous vote by the city council means nothing. If it's deemed unconstitutional, it will be overturned. While I would never do it, people who like to look like complete idiots with their pants around their knees are allowed the right to look like an idiot.
