I already have "Gospel Ideals" and "Secrets of a Happy Life." Is the new book just the same stuff, quotes and talks from here and there assembled into a new collection?

no, this book is all about the inner workings of the DOM presidency. Seriously, you get all the inside stuff about the rivalry between the politically conservative and liberal apostles, the ones who were creationists and the ones who weren't. How Wilkinson played politics to get DOM to support him throughout his scandals. The behind the scenes look at who was against blacks and the priesthood and who wasn't. How DOM reacted to the publication of Mormon Doctrine.

This is not a feel-good collection of quotes. At the same time, it has been very moving in parts. It is not anti-Mormon or anti-DOM.

I just put in an order for my own copy of the book (so my wife can read it, dad can read it, etc.). Haven't finished it yet though.
