Default where did the continuous eternal progression...

aspect of adam/god sprout its roots?

is it not fully possibly brigham young thought adam was god and eve was our heavenly mother both figuratively and literally without the added rounds of progressions?

what did brigham young say to create the full blown theory?

the things ive read would lead me to believe he thought adam was god, but it doesnt make me think he thought wed go through numerous rounds of progression to one day make it to be gods....

maybe im just stupid and lack comprehension skills...

Default wishfull thinking

Wishfull thinking of the wicked :P

I think he was speaking figuratively ... of course who knows exactly what he was thinking.

I am very confident that Adam is not God -the whole idea of Adam talking to himself issue is just too wierd for me.

Oh yah, in the temple we are sealed -twain shall be one flesh- or somehing or other ... our better halfs will truly be our better halfs

Brian has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default MMP

Sometime, somewhere on some yahoo group, someone posted something by an early guy (I think it was Heber Kimball, but I could be wrong) stating something about Multiple Mortal Probations and that Joseph Smith taught him the doctrine.
Anyone know about this reference?

Regards,
Brian
