This may have been written before the exogenous test result was rumored, but it is a good read and I sahre his sense of indignation to large degre.

His best point is the fact that no names are to be released until a B sample confirms the results. Would they have leaked this if a Frenchman or Spaniard had won the tour?

I honestly don't know. Is their contempt for winners, americans, or just anyone suspect.

If their own policy is to release no names until the confirmed B sample is in then why do these things always seem to leak.

I don't think it's an anti-american thing. I think it's a McCarthy state. Yes, there are dopers out there and yes there are some people who are suspicious. Unfortunately these people are guilty and then burdened with the task of proving innocent. It's just not the way we do things and I think it clashes with the American fans.
